About
A place where I can write about the shit that bothers me.
Who am I?
Does it really fucking matter? You either get something out of what I have to say and how I say it, or you don't. I'm sure you'll form your own idea of who I must be based on the content you find here.
At the end of the day, I'm just someone taking advantage of the world-wide web as a place to vent.
What is this site, even?
Everything on this site is simply my opinion.
Source, trust me bro. Nah, actually, I do a lot of reading and research, besides all the learning I get through listening to a huge variety of people from all walks of life.
So for your benefit (and because I like when people agree with me) I try to add links to reputable information whenever possible within these rants. That way you can see I'm not just talking out my ass. Well, sometimes I am, but I do my best to be a well-informed ass at the very least.
And guess what! I'm open to reasonable feedback. There is always something new to learn, and my takes on things constantly shift as I learn more. You may email me additional helpful information or let me know about outdated or debunked references and data in my posts at sources@rantsandresearch.com.
Why are there public drafts?
This is a project for when I have time or unavoidable brain gremlins. So to satisfy my need to rant, I write when I can and post what I have as soon as I have it. Once I think a rant contains enough to cover everything I want it to, it is no longer a draft. Of course, I may still review and update past rants, but it will no longer have the draft notice.
The point is, if I learn something new as I do my research and talk myself through the topic, I may completely shift viewpoints and it could take on a brand new direction. The draft notation is my way of giving you notice that I am actively researching and updating what is effectively a brain-dump until completion.
